Stomach pains suck!

So, I didn't do my weigh in this week because I've been having some really bad stomach aches. It feels like it did before I had my gallbladder removed, the sharp burning pain just below my ribs. I know it's not my gallbladder, but it's been very uncomfortable. And because of that, I've been trying to eat when it happens because that seems to be one thing that helps. I was up a bit when I did step on the scale, but I haven't been drinking water either. I went to the doctor this morning and he is sending me for an ultrasound, and has given me an antacid for the time being. It's really getting annoying. It has been happening off and on for a few weeks but Friday and Saturday it was horrible. I was laying on the floor in pain! My doctor said it could be a month or so before I get in for the ultrasound so until then, I hope the medicine helps!

I was going to do day 2 of week 4 on Sunday but I felt horrible. And then I was gonna do it yesterday but my stomach hurt and I had a pounding head ache! I'm hoping I can do it tonight, if my stomach isn't too bad. I hate this, I really want to run!

I launched my blog for my cakes http://amandascustomcakes3.blogspot.com/ and I already got one customer off of it! I don't know how busy I'll get or anything, but I would honestly be happy with 1 or 2 a month. I have 3 this month, and 2 next month. And lots of different themes! John Deere tractor cake, dinosaur cake, Cars cake, the Princess and the Frog cake and a family reunion cake! I'm very excited!!!!

Phew!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, it seems like life has just gone crazy these past few days!! I finished week 3 on Monday night and started week 4 today. I did take a few days off in between but I've been on my feet lots doing baking and stuff so by the time the evening came, I was too pooped! It was very hard tonight! I had to run 3, walk 90, run 5, walk 2 1/2 then repeat. By the second 3 minutes I was so tired but I pushed through and kept going. By the 3rd minute in the last 5 minutes I was almost about to give up but knew I could do it. And I'm glad I did! I'm really wanting to start running outside soon, but I want to get a bit better first. Maybe week 5.

I've been baking some Easter cookies and cake pops the last couple of days for this weekend and it was fun! Here's some pics!

I think I'm going to sign up with WW online. I've found it to be a bit difficult to track. I find myself popping anything into my mouth while making dinner or the kids lunch. I guess I could always sign up and if I don't use it, I could just cancel it.

Weigh In

I had my weigh in this morning and I was down 1lb (176). I'm not overly excited about it cause I know it could have been better if it weren't for my set backs :) But like I said last week, a pound is a pound and that makes my total since March 8th as 5.6lbs. I'm thinking I'd like to sign up for WW online. I thought it was going to work without it, but I find it's hard to keep track. We'll see.

I'm planning on doing day 3 of week 3 (C25K) tonight. Hubby isn't working tonight so it should work out as long as he doesn't get a fire call. I'm enjoying it, although after I did the last one, my thighs were a little sore!

I thought I would post a picture of some sugar cookies I made this morning. I know most people use royal icing to decorate them, but I didn't feel like making any. Plus I had lots of fondant left from previous cakes. Pretty cute eh?

I made 2 dozen, 3 of each design. It only took me about an hour or so to make the dough, chill it, roll it out, cut them out, roll out the fondant, cut the fondant, then bake and put the fondant on after they are baked. Pretty fun! I see tons of possibilities here! I still have some dough left so I might try to do some royal icing ones later in the week.

Eeks!

Wow, sorry I haven't updated since Monday! Bad! Anyways, not too much new here. I've had a few moments of weakness this week so I'm really hoping I can still see a good loss on Monday. I finished week 2 of the couch to 5k, and started week 3. I just finished day 2 and I must say it's harder than any of the weeks yet. The 2nd 3 minute run almost kills me! But it will get better.

I've been working on some parts of a cake that I am making for a friend. It's a John Deere themed cake and I've been making some farm animals out of modeling chocolate (just chocolate melted and some corn syrup added making a pliable dough). They look pretty cute! I'll post some pics once I'm done more.

Weigh In

Well, I was down to 177 (-1.4) this morning. Not as good as the 176 that I saw but I'll take it. I did have a pretty salty meal last night and there was some cake consumption this weekend :) And I took almost a week off of exercising cause I was sick. A pound is a pound and that pound will be gone!

Party time!

I finished Zachary's cake yesterday afternoon and I love it! I think it's the best cake I've done yet (I'm sorry if I sound conceited, but I find my skills getting better each time!) Here's some pictures! We're having a party for him tonight with all the family and friends.


I just finished day 2 of week 2 of C25K. I was planning on doing it last night but it was an off night. First we had supper, the my husband took Zachary down stairs while I got changed and then his pager went off (I'm not sure if any of you know or remember but my husband is a firefighter) so he had to go to a fire call. Then the kids were wound and wouldn't go to sleep so I couldn't go downstairs yet. My husband got back and I was gonna go down then, but then his pager went off again! So it didn't end up working out. But I think being on my feet so much yesterday counted for something :)

♪♫♪ Happy birthday Zachary♪♫♪

Actually it was yesterday but I just never got around to making it here! So I just wanted to wish a happy 2nd birthday to my little boy! I can't believe it's been 2 years already!


Well, I was planning on doing day 2 of week 2 but I just wasn't in the mood. I'm still getting over my cold and the kids were all so hyper last night. And it was Zachary's birthday so we did presents and cake after supper. Today I have to work on Zachary's cake for the party on Saturday so I'm really hoping I can get it done in good time and then I'll do it tonight. I will force myself to do it tonight since it's been a while. I hate that I haven't exercised in 5 days but I was feeling pretty crummy.

On a good note, the scale has been kind to me, even with me not exercising. I'm really hoping if I'm good for the rest of the week I'll see a good loss on Monday. Cross your fingers for me :)
